Famous for Italian Specialties and Pastas, Steaks, Veal, Chicken and Seafood, the Hilltop Restaurant has been serving their customers and the needs of the community since 1954.
“I’m a lucky man,” says John Reilly. "This is a family business and we are blessed with loyal customers and staff."
John and Maria Conti-Reilly have owned the Hilltop Restaurant, at the top of Quarry Hill Road in Barre, since 1985, and keep it under a watchful eye, as they continue to live right upstairs.
The Hilltop Restaurant was built by Maria’s parents, Tony
and Elsie Conti, and opened in 1954, with a menu of sandwiches, spaghetti, 1/2 broilers and $2 T-Bone Steaks! Through the years, the building has expanded and updated and now consists of two full dining rooms and two banquet rooms.
Along with daily dining, the Hilltop Restaurant is famous for its catering business, and is the meeting place for many business and civic organizations such as Kiwanis,
Lions, Rotary, Altrusa, and more. The Hilltop is sought out for many social events including weddings,
anniversaries, receptions, class reunions and bridge clubs. The restaurant layout allows for both small and large groups,
while working within any budget. Serving lunch and dinner, moderate pricing keeps
customers coming back and makes it affordable for families too.
John and Maria’s daughters, Rune and Flynn, were brought up in the
business and Rune is now the manager. John, Maria, Rune and the Hilltop staff invite both new and old
friends to come in and see their new and exciting changes, and taste their deliciously famous
food and drink.
See you at the top... John Reilly's Hilltop Restaurant!
